Men's Discipleship Groups
WHAT IS A DISCIPLESHIP GROUP?
A discipleship group is a small group of men (usually 4-6), designed to bring men together to intentionally invest, encourage and challenge one another to become the men God has called them to be.
WHAT DO DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS DO?
Groups meet weekly to study and identify core truths from God's word and then apply those truths to our lives so that we can impact lives around us.
WHY DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS ARE IMPORTANT
The truth of the gospel is that as men in Christ when we pursue Him. God will tear down the foundations of our lives built on ourselves, our sin, and our own purposes, and rebuild our lives, conforming everypart of our life into a refelction of Jesus Christ.
The challenge: This is not an easy or comfortable process. Rather, it is described as a war raging within us, between the old man dead in our sin and the new man we are in Christ. It requires putting the old man to death day by day as we pursue Christ and allowing God to forge every part of our life into a man that reflects Him. The good news is we are not called to do this alone.
As men, we need godly men in our lives, to encourage and challenge us as God forges us into the men He has called us to be. Men investing in others who will impact their world for Jesus.
