Ways to Give this Christmas
Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
Lottie Moon Christmas Offering is an annual offering collected around the world to support international missions. 100% of gifts provide for missionaries all over the world. Lottie Moon was a missionary to China who urged churches to give sacrificially to missions. You can give your Lottie Moon Offering online, gowestwood.org/giveonline,our Church App, or you can drop a check into the offering buckets (please include LMCO in the memo section of your check).
Samaritan Purse's Operation Christmas Child
Collection Week for Operation Christmas Child is November 16-23. A limited supply of pre printed shoeboxes will be available on Sunday, October 26. If we run out you can use regular shoeboxes or shoebox size plastic tubs. Please refrain from using oversized boxes and totes as it presents shipping issues. You can leave your filled shoeboxes in the designated area in the lower atrium. Please remember NO candy, toothpaste, glass items, soap, liquid items or toys that are scary or war related toys.(knives, guns, etc.)
Toy Collection for The Lovelady Center
There are boxes to collect toy donations located throughout the campus. Please drop your donations by December 7. They are also looking for individuals or groups that would be interested in helping ladies shop and then wrap gifts December 16-20. Click here to signup to help. Contact Donna Smith at 256-570-8176 for more details.
Purchase a Christmas Meal for Harvest House
On November 9, there will be a Christmas tree with envelopes that you can take to purchase a meal for a Harvest House family. When you take an envelope, remove the prayer card inside and put your $50 donation inside the envelope and return in one of our offering buckets. If donating by check please make payable to Westwood Baptist Church and put "HHMeals" on the memo line. The Harvest House will also need help packing the meals; so if you are interested please contact Sandy Enloe by email [email protected].
Ways to Impact Our World for Jesus this Christmas
SERVE LOCALLY:
Impact your local neighborhood by using our Christmas Impact Kits. Each kit includes a list of ideas of how you can love & serve your neighbors, a Christmas card to gift your neighbors, and an ornament to decorate and bring back to the church to add to our “Impact Trees” to celebrate the lives impacted this Christmas season! Kits Available on November 16.
SERVE GLOBALLY:
We still need several team members to sign up for our 2026 mission trips to Eswatini & Belize to make the trips possible. Registration closes soon, visit gowestwood.org/trips for details.
Ways to PRAY this Christmas Season:
Pray for God to raise up laborers to take the gospel to Eswatini and Belize in 2026.
