WHAT IS WINTER RETREAT?
Winter Retreat is an off-campus event designed for students where they can experience fellowship and fun with their peers, authentic worship, small group bible study, and biblical teaching.
WHEN IS WINTER RETREAT 2023?
January 13 - 16, 2023
Check-in begins at 4:30 pm on Friday, January 13th.
Students will arrive back at Westwood on Monday, January 16th around 12:00 pm.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Any student currently in grades 7-12.
WHERE WILL WINTER RETREAT 2023 BE HELD?
All Winter Retreat events will be held at Shocco Springs in Talledega, AL.
WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT COSTS AND DEADLINES?
Early registration cost = $200 (Begins October 26, 2022)
Late registration cost = $225 (Begins December 12, 2022)
Payments aren't due until check in on January 13, 2023.
Credit card payments can only be made at the time of registration and will include an additional online payment fee.
Registration closes on January 8, 2023.
*Discount for multiple siblings. First student is $200 (early registration) and $225 (late registration). Second student cost is $175 (early registration) and $200 (late registration).
Registration includes all materials, transportation, room and board, and a Winter Retreat hoodie.
We are offering paintball as an add-on "Late Night Event". The cost for this is $25.
In order to be guaranteed your requested hoodie size, you must register by December 11, 2022. Payments can be made via cash, check or credit card (online only). There is an added service fee when paying with a credit card online. Credit card payments can only be made at the time of registration.
When registering, you have the option to choose the registration type related to payment method. You will also be able to select to participate in paintball and payment for that is due at check in on January 13, 2023.

WHO IS THE SPEAKER?
Madison Terry has a heart for discipleship and a desire to see generations changed through the preaching of Scripture. Originally from Decatur, AL, Madison was raised in a minister’s home and served for several years in camp ministry. There, he met his wife Angela, and they continued to travel and manage youth camps across the country. He holds an MDiv from Liberty University and a Doctorate from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Currently, Madison serves as the Minister to College and Single Adults at Gardendale First Baptist Church in Gardendale, AL, and has been there for the past eight years. Madison and his wife Angela have three children, Hudson (4), Haddon (3), and Madi Claire (6 months). On any given Saturday, you can find Madison training for his next triathlon, spending time with family at the park, or playing drums.
