WHAT IS UNITE? Unite is a local missions mini-camp in Shelby County, AL. Functioning through the Shelby Baptist Association, Unite provides the opportunity for church student ministries all across the Birmingham Metro area to partner together in serving our county with the Gospel – physically and spiritually. Students are placed into adult-led “tracks” (evangelism, construction, kids club, etc.) according to their preferences through which they’ll serve within each day. Each morning and night will feature a dynamic worship service with a high quality speaker and band.

WHAT IS THE COST? $89 per person BEFORE June 15 // $99 per person AFTER June 15
DO I NEED MY OWN TRANSPORTATION DURING THE WEEK? Yes. Each track will be assigned to a vehicle/van/bus that is provided by churches. Your drivers and modes of transportation will be utilized by Unite to transport students according to Track teams, NOT the local church that brought that vehicle. We request as many 15 passenger vans as possible.

WHO IS THE SPEAKER? // Algernon Tennyson // Algernon is the founder and president of Awaken International Ministries. He is a dynamic and passionate evangelist with a heart for today’s young people. Algernon has a radical personal testimony on how Jesus Christ changed his life. As a young man, excelling as an athlete, his life’s purpose changed when he heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. After serving in the US Navy, Algernon has pursued God’s Call to speak boldly and passionately about His transforming Grace to all believers. This testimony, along with his gift of evangelism, has enabled him to reach youth and adults in a very powerful and effective way. Born and raised in Georgia, Algernon and his wife currently live outside of Atlanta.
